And the Sun Sets on All Things in Time

This was another piece inspired by a technical challenge. I was wanting to plein air paint it but the temperature was already -22 and the wind started really going by the time I got there so I took tons of notes about color and atmosphere and a photo and then tried to recreate it in the studio under the same time constraints I would have had in the field. I really wanted intuitive brush work like you get en plein air.
