While You Were Sleeping

While You Were Sleeping was painted in-studio as my final painting submission for juried membership into the Washington Society of Landscape Painters in April, 2024. The painting is aptly named because I stayed up painting into the wee hours of the night finishing up and what I ended up with felt dreamlike to me. This scene is from my favorite walking trail near my home in Clifton, Virginia. This painting is already a new my favorite (and yes...I am a now an official member of the WSLP!)
