Painted at the Devereua Slough in Santa Barbara, I wanted to capture the peacefulness of the wetland environment. Birds flew over me and as the sun traveled across the the sky bringing the reflections to life. There was an overall peaceful harmony while I painted which I also brought to my palette and color selection. The large and ancient tree stood still amongst all the birds and changing light.
