Devotion

Painted from a plein air study that I painted in Baja Mexico. I have many reasons for loving these dunes. Not only are they peaceful and have beautiful shapes, they recently saved my casa from a Hurricane. I wanted to capture the emotive qualities of this soft but strong geographical terrain...the interface between the sea and the land with honor and respect to the natural texture and colors of this pristine area of the Sea of Cortez.I wanted this painting to capture the fleeting feeling of a peaceful, spiritual state.
