I always love the immediate time after the snow has fallen, there is a quiet that cannot be experienced in any other place! I wanted to capture that feeling as closely as possible in this painting. Oils have a richness when laid down properly that touches that moment and why I used them to capture this silence in color. After all, capturing feelings is what art is about.
