This is a studio oil painting of Desert Big Horn Sheep in their natural habitat in Palm Desert, California. They are beautiful animals that roam the rocky cliffs of the mountains in the Palm Desert.
I was lucky on this trip to observe these three sheep staring out at the mountains due to some commotion that caught and held their attention allowing me to get this pose for several moments.
