The Dollhouse King

The Dollhouse King is a colorful oil painting inspired off the studio scene I studied. I painted an older live model who sat in this rugged, colored chair with a serious look on his face in such a regal pose. From this scene, I created a story of the Dollhouse King who sat in the attic scheming his next plot, ruling the house with an iron fist. His crown has blood splotches- evidence of past skirmishes with threatening rats. His cold gaze reflects the viewer is within his domain, at the whims of his unpredictable nature.
