Riley aims to arouse empathy by converting abstract concepts into a surrealistic atmosphere with vivid colours. She focuses on conveying HEALING to the audiences and always hopes that her work will be able to heal people if they are suffering from mental health problems. Rabbit and Lunny(finger-crossed-shaped characters) are the main objects to express the artist herself or to connect the artist with the audience. They are guardian angels; the viewers can imagine the rabbit/Lunny as themselves or someone they miss and love. The main feature is leaving innocent and embossed brushstrokes using oil pastels, and the surreal composition with the organic line stimulates the audience's imagination.
