The Desert Peach is wild shrub in the rose family that is native to eastern California and western Nevada, where it grows in the desert and mountains. It was used by the Pauites medicinally for colds and rheumatism. I found this branch on my morning run and paired it with the Carnival glass pitcher I inherited from my mother and a Thai Benjarong vase my daughter brought me from Bangkok.
