Rushing Around

The location of the subject is Steelhead Falls near where I live in Central Oregon. Most locals are more familiar with the main falls, which sit very horizontally across the river. I’ve painted various versions of that horizontal view, but I always find it to be a less interesting composition to work with the full horizontal view. BUT...off to the left side of the main falls is this itty-bitty offshoot which I think has a more graceful shape to work with, and is what I painted here in this piece!
